MY CLIENT’S STORIES

This is Noami. She is an incredible waterwoman and avid free diver. Naomi was in her 2nd trimester of pregnancy when we started working together, a time that can be both exciting and challenging. I strived to provide Noami with the encouragement and support she needed during this special time in her life, helping her to get stronger and stronger throughout her pregnancy. She not only weight trained consistently every week, she also continued to swim in the ocean nearly every day! I’m honored to have been a part of Naomi’s journey, she has been a true inspiration to me.

Meet Denise, a vibrant 59 year old wife and mother of two grown daughters, who embarked on her fitness journey with me in February 2023 because she understood the importance of building muscle and strength training for overall health but didn’t know where to begin. She has come such a long way, progressively getting so much stronger! We didn’t stop there…while Denise’s father was visiting her this past year, he found that he was struggling with balance issues, and I was fortunate enough to be able to help. I provided him with a personalized exercise plan, and I’m proud to say he hasn’t had a fall since then. I’m grateful for the opportunity to make a positive impact on their lives. But don’t just take my word for it, here’s Denise sharing her transformative experience in her own words.

‘‘I’m so happy that I met Trish and have used her as my trainer since February ‘23. She has helped me with strength training and building muscle. Trish has provided appropriate training based on my age and health issues. She also helped my dad, who was having balance problems. Heidi has made a remarkable journey in the world of dance competitions. On July 7th, 2022, she won the Senior Bronze Division Scholarship, representing her first time taking home an overall first place award. Although she was initially nervous for an event on August 13th, she still managed to secure a second-place finish; Heidi credits her improved body and muscle definition to her hard work and training with Trish. Finally, on October 29th, Heidi achieved a First Place 3 Dance Championship and a Second Place 2 Dance Championship at the Universal City DanceSport Championship. Despite coming in second at the final event on December 16th, Heidi is proud of her accomplishments against such competitive opposition.

‘‘When I came to Trish Keefer approximately 2 years ago, I wasn't looking for weight loss help. At 69, I am a fit woman, physically active and a participant in competitive ballroom dancing. My issues are osteoporosis and the need to increase my strength for posture and the athleticism needed for dance at the level to which I aspire. Trish helped me to gain muscle definition and strength. My recent Dexa bone density scan showed a 4% improvement, which is rare without medication. Her coaching around nutrition has been life changing for me. I've even been told by my dentist that my mouth is in such great shape it looks like an entirely new mouth!

Getting fit doesn't always mean losing weight. My client Dyan doesn't struggle with weight. She is a busy professional with a desk job so she is sitting many hours a day, and as a result experiences a lot of neck and back pain and limited mobility. Add to that stress from work and some serious dietary restrictions, and she realized she needed help. Side note - Dyan also prefers playing outdoor sports like beach volleyball to spending hours in the gym, but her stomach issues and decreased strength have affected her confidence about getting out there and doing what she loves. Her biggest fear is staying stuck where she is and becoming a hermit. Knowing she needs help and accountability, and has the time and motivation to make changes, she decided to join my training program where I've created a customized workout and nutrition plan just for her so she can get back out there and have fun! ⁠

‘‘I’m 3 months into the Stoked Bodies nutrition and workout program and I’ve noticed increased energy, decreased anxiety, and improved mobility. I even joined a pickleball league, which was one of my goals for joining the program – my desire to get back into playing sports. Prior to joining Trish’s program, I would wake up with stiffness in my neck, back, sides. Now that I’ve been doing daily mobility exercises, I sleep better, wake up feeling more flexible, and I'm no longer nervous about pulling a muscle while playing a sport.
