As you age and accumulate injuries, go to school and work jobs that require you to sit for 8+ hours a day, and live a lifestyle that doesn’t require much dynamic motion. Day after day of not moving the right way, some muscles learn that they aren’t required to help you move anymore, while other muscles are forced into high demand and work overtime. You bring this faulty movement pattern into every workout, or leisure activity, and it soon becomes your new norm.
As time goes on and the faulty movement pattern gets stronger, you start experiencing excessive wear and tear on the soft tissue like the muscles, fascia, discs, tendons, and ligaments. The areas you stress the most begin to break down, which creates an entire cascade of pain, discomfort, nerve issues, muscle strains, cramping, disc degeneration, hip and knee degeneration, and the list goes on. When this happens, simple things like cleaning, working, sitting, sleeping, standing, walking, bending forward… just living like a normal person...begin to feel terribly uncomfortable – because your body is at its threshold of what it can tolerate.
It takes less and less for your body to get hurt, any sudden movement or imbalanced position can set you off – and so the cycle of acute pain, chronic pain, and movement-related problems spiral further and further out of control.
This program will systematically help to get your body back into its original symmetrical balance, restoring alignment so that your body can move as it was meant to move, without pain and struggle. Stick with this program and perform the recommended sessions daily and you will see significant improvement, and can enjoy the activities again that you love and have stopped doing because of pain and lack of mobility.
This program is designed around weekly schedules that start each Monday. Your first week of the movement program will start the first Monday after you complete the introduction.
